"Paradiso" is a series of photographs inspired by nature. During pandemic I started building mock-ups made of thrown away plastic flowers from cemetery trash bins. Materials were ready for different photo-shooting, but due to first lock down, I couldn't invite any models to my studio. When the lock down started, and walking to he park was not allowed, I started thinking more about relationship between human and Nature. I did not feel a lack of it, until I got cut out of it.
Photographs are inspired by Nederland's old masters paintings and they try to create a substitute of something that is not available.
Connection between plastic - an global issue of overproduction of dangerous for Nature trash, with beautiful compositions creates an absurd combination. Only the source of flowers provides a "scary " message. Do we relay want, that our future will be based of substitutions? Do we really wants to promote a reality based on production of goods just for the profit? When had we lost the real connection with reality and Nature?
